Can you be yourself for a single second?

Sure, it's easy. Anybody can be themselves for one second. Can they? Can you? Can you absolutely, categorically, 100% be the real, true, core person who you are in your soul? If so, when was the last time you were? Are you sure your self  wasn't clouded a little bit by people's expectations? By your own self consciousness? By your fear of letting that real self out, what it might do? No, being yourself isn't easy, even for one second. But if you can do it, the payoff is ecstasy.
Being yourself even if only for one second is nearly impossible  Our true selves are so clouded over with all the influences that we've accumulated through the years. But if you can experience who you really are, again if only for a single second, I believe you will be so thrilled, you will seek to expand that one second into two, then two into three and on to the point of living a lifetime as who you really are.
Consider this quote from the Pink Floyd song "Learning to Fly":

Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night/ There's no sensation to compare with this

I think that's an allusion to the kind of intensity that exists at the soul level. And yes, even if only getting there for a single second.
The soul is immense, a storage container of untold power and wisdom. To even touch a glancing blow (one second) with it could not help but cause ecstasy.
The question is, how do you be yourself. And the answer to that is, first of all, you have to have the desire to be your real self. Then recognize the need to consciously pursue being your real self. And then you simply give it a shot. It's in you, friend. Try it just for a single second. You'll be amazed at what will happen.
