Do we have spiritual radar? (Can we know what's coming?)

     I wonder sometimes. Remember the days before radar? How you'd just listen to the radio and they'd say: 'Today there's a 50% chance of rain.' Well, what the heck does that tell you? Now we click on our live Doppler radar screens on the Internet and see just about every raindrop there is to be seen. But what about our spiritual lives? Can we have "radar" there too? Can we sense what's coming around the corner for us?
     I don't know that I have any answers to that question but, as usual (lol), I have a lot of thoughts about it. And the biggest thought is: I don't know. I don't think anybody really can know. (Which, by the way, doesn't stop a lot of people from telling you that they know.)
     But yes, I think there is a spiritual radar. It's just that sometimes it works better than others. Sometimes there's "interference" that mutes its effectiveness. Our bodies, our psyches, our souls can sense, albeit sometimes so very faintly, when something big is coming our way. It's like back to the radar analogy. Well, with that tremendous tsunami a few years ago that killed 250,000 people there were a lot of people that fled to higher ground long before the tsunami hit, and most of those people (the tsunami hit mostly third world countries) did NOT have any radar, no technological warning.
     But they had something. Yes, there were small signs in the weather, in the water, that could be interpreted as heralding the tsunami, but I think it was more than that. I think people in third world countries, countries not buffeted by our endless technological flows of information and entertainment, are much more in tune with their intuition, or spirituality, call it what you want, than we are.
     We can, if we choose, cultivate that spiritual radar. We can tune out the technology. We can seek inside ourselves, rather than outside. We can clear out the "interference."
     When we do we'll start to intuitively recognize the signs of whatever may be coming down the pike for us. We won't be so surprised what happens  because our souls will have advanced warning, a sneak preview if you will, of what's coming.
      Ah, but to tune out the addictive nature of the technology and entertainment that inundates us. That is quite the tall order. But so worth it.
